I read a wonderful book (thanks Felix!) by Don Miguel called the Four Agreements. I'm definitely a self improvement junkie. And would recommend it to fellow junkies :)
The Four Agreements are:
1. Be impeccable with your word.
Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love.
2. Don't take anything personally.
Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won't be the victim of needless suffering.
3. Don't make assumptions.
Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness, and drama. With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life.
4. Always do your best.
Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are tired as opposed to well-rested. Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse, and regret.

Litany against fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.
Definitely helps ward off the negative thoughts arising out of fear and uncertainty.
I don't know much about this Dune and stuff. But I like the message. And I remember my roommate watching this movie once. Some dude standing in the middle of the storm when this message is conveyed in the movie. For more details see the wikipedia page.

Crying out loud for attention.
Thats what writing a blog means. Just write some crap and expect people to read it, enjoy it and pat you on your back.
Why do we always cry out loud for attention? Why? Why do we feel the need to be appreciated, understood, praised? Why isn't it so easy to be nonchalant !! Any answers? Any one?

Life sucks and then you die.
Is this true? Does life really suck and then you die? Why is this pressure to do something with your life? Why I cant I really chill out, take it easy, and then one day, I will cease to exist. What's wrong with that?
Why do we have all this pressure to live well, do something with your life, be a go-getter, be happy, follow all the morals in every step of your life, have never ending positivity in your life etc etc?
Being and the staying motivated is one of the toughest things in life. You need that hunger. That drive. That drive even when you really have most of the stuff you want. Its like a train that never stops even after passing through many stations. It will stop when the ultimate end arrives. How the hell do you keep fueling that train with infinite supply of energy and drive?
Too many questions. Too little convincing answers.
So the only way to answer this is: "Strength is life. Weakness is death". Never stop. Be strong. Keep going. Life will be good. Just find the right speed for your train so you can enjoy the journey on the way. People may expect you to go faster. The world may push you to burst your ass to be an over achiever. You may have a lot of pressure not to stop at stations. But don't believe in it. Do what you want. Drive your train at the speed you want. Let the free market rules take care of the speed. Let your auto-pilot decide what speed is right for you. Thats when you will enjoy the journey. You will never worry about what-if train stops situation. Just let it ride based on which stations you want to visit. Justify this to yourself. You are answerable to yourself and yourself only. So go at the pace you think is nice. You will visit all the stations.

Be my guest and be first to post a comment.
I have quite some traffic to this blog. But surprisingly, no one has posted a comment on any of the blogs.
So browse around. Make your self at home. I dont know how you landed here. Was it my post on Yudhishtira? Damages on FX ? Rush Limbaugh? Sean Hannity? Steve Pavlina? Gandhi? I dont know. But be the first one to leave a comment and win a prize. You will receive a special place in my virtual world of being the first reader that I dont know of personally to contact me. Come on you can do it!
Rush Limbaugh can say all he wants. Bill Oreilly, Ann Coulter, Michael Savage....they all say anything they want. All this TV news anchors, talk radio hosts just unnecessarily provoke your mind and make money out of it. More outrageous loud mothed you are the more money you make. But what happens to listeners? They become more disturbed, more agitated completely loose focus and achieve less and less. Doesn't help at all. So just drop your remote. Stop wating your time looking for more information on these characters.
Just post a damn comment. And move on with your life!!

Rush Limbaugh and Moveon.org
Two sides of the extreme. Fighting over some 'phony' soldier comment. How ridiculous.
Why even fight?
Does it really matter what Rush Limbaugh says? Here is a guy who has made millions just talking bull about things in life. Just keep saying outrageous crap. You become popular. You make money.
I mean what soldiers? Why even have a War when it is not even required? So fu**ing ridiculous. Me writing about Rush is even more ridiculous. This is a testament to how human mind works. We just want to be momentarily swayed to whatever is happening. You need to reach down people. Just focus and think for a moment. Don't live on the surface. This is what I tell myself. Real change, real contribution comes from the inside.
Oh, by the way, I saw an interesting billboard advertisement in Houston the other day. It said, "Rush to Hannity" KLAW ...something something. But Rush to Hannity is a clever line I must say!!
